Parent Testimonies
I am deeply grateful for the learning experience that was provided for our daughter at The Learning Center. Primarily, the learning environment was the number one thing I valued. A curious, playful, safe, engaging academic experience that allowed each student to be seen and valued exactly where they are. From that point, each teacher knows how to continue stretching their students in a way that builds confidence, foundational-core values, and morals with a love of learning. I also appreciated the help in nurturing friendships and teaching how to function better together in community.

I am grateful TLC was part of my grandson's education; truly helped him more than he even yet realizes. It's been an honor to pray and provide a small donation to your program.
Donor,
Blessings to you!

At The Learning Center my kids were in a safe environment where they were able to be their unique selves. They were inspired to be curious and creative, while learning to be hardworking and respectful. Their learning environment was structured, but dynamic and collaboration with peers was encouraged.
At TLC my kids developed a love of learning, and an understanding of how to learn combined with the ability to think critically. They were stretched academically, but never stressed, and teachers were always open to parent feedback. Parent participation was fully encouraged and provided many special experiences for the kids.
The Learning Center is a beautiful community of families and educators who are passionate about caring for the whole child and who strive to demonstrate that every day.

TLC has been such a blessing for our family. We have appreciated the sense of security and safety we felt during the day of learning while our kids were there without us. The learning was faith based and we didn’t have to wonder or question if the curriculum fit in with our families values. The higher grade children played so well with the younger grades, and it really taught a lot of respect on both ends. The educators at TLC genuinely are about the well-being of our youth, and have their best interest in mind- raising the next generation of Christ followers.

Being able to attend The Learning Center was a blessing for our family. We began there when Miss Celia & her husband Hank opened their home to us and started teaching out of their living room during Covid. We were so happy to have this option, where our children could learn in a mask-free and nurturing environment that supported Christian values & American Patriotism. Our girls were 3 of the first 11 students. We appreciated Miss Celia’s Montessori teaching style and her gentle and loving approach to learning. We also appreciated the individualized support for each child’s unique learning needs, and the steady and open communication with parents. It was a positive and encouraging environment for our children and we will always be grateful for our time at The Learning Center.

We first learned about TLC through a friend and attended a back-to-school BBQ with the other TLC families to learn more about the program. It quickly became clear that Hank and Celia had created something truly special— an environment we wanted our family to be part of. Just days before the school year began, we made the decision to switch from public school, and we have never looked back.
TLC provided a Christ-centered environment that sparked a genuine love of learning in our son. The small class sizes allowed for individualized attention, ensuring that each student was challenged and supported at their own level. Because multiple grade levels learn together, children can progress at their own pace without feeling ahead of or behind their peers. We also appreciated the opportunities our son had to interact with children ranging in age from 3 to 12, which helped broaden his social skills and confidence.
Beyond academics, TLC offered so many enriching experiences. Highlights included a beautiful turf backyard for recess, two screened and heated porches that could be used year-round, cooking classes in the kitchen, a lunchtime knitting club, field trips, and a yearbook. Students were also given meaningful jobs and responsibilities that reflected real-world expectations, such as taking out the trash and unloading the dishwasher, helping to build character and a sense of ownership within the community.
We are deeply grateful for the many ways TLC nurtured our son’s mind, faith, and character over the years. The impact of his time there will stay with him for years to come.
